Beni State Conservation Area

Home of the infamous Beni Spring Spin held on the Sunday of the October Long weekend. The Beni Spring Spin (BSS) mainly follows the perimeter of the Beni State Conservation Area (known locally as Beni Forest).

The BSS follows a 20km loop in and around the Beni Forest for either 1, 2 or 3 laps, depending on the race category entered. Mainly flat with one steep descent and climb across a creek. Currently, it is 100% fire trail. You can follow the Strava mapped BSS or just go exploring. Take plenty of water in summer. When riding early in the mornings or late in the evenings watch for kangaroos, they are mainly resting in the heat of the day. No facilities at the trail head which is located at the eastern end of Whitewood Road (which Myall St becomes) approximately 10km east of Dubbo.
The Dubbo MTB club is in negotiations with National Parks and Wildlife Service NSW to allow development of sections of single track through this forest.
